Our representative will meet you at your hotel and convey you to our luxury partner hotel, The Tembo Hotel, in Stone Town where you can unwind and relax in anticipation of dinner at the lovely and ancient hotel (where Freddy Mercury used to stay with his family whenever he visited). Your hotel has a pool and is furnished beautifully with wooden antiques and boasts beautiful four poster beds.

After breakfast this morning we head out for the excellent Stone Town tour, giving us a deeper insight and understanding of the development of this settlement over the centuries. We trace the footsteps of the Arab Sultans of Zanzibar. You can spend town endless hours wandering this town of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses whose original owners vied with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings. Now down to the serious business of relaxing by the beach. One can choose if feeling energetic to head to the Jozani Forest in search of a meeting with the red colobus monkey or take a trip to the spice plantations for an enlightening guided tour detailing all the numerous herbs the islands are famed for, imbibe the heady scent of the aromatic spices and scented plants including guava, mango, vanilla, clove, nutmeg, ginger, chilli, black pepper, and cinnamon, all followed by an excellent meal with our courteous guide at his home. We once more enjoy our dinner and relaxation at the Kichanga Beach Lodge on full board basis.

Awake to a truly stunning beach vista here on the East of the Island. Azure waters and white sands reward our senses with beauty. On this the quieter side of the island one is now free to simply enjoy the peace at our carefully selected hotel where aesthetic surrounds can ease your body, spirit, and mind. Relax by the beach or at the hotel with a good book and your favourite tipple, or, for the more energised, head out on one of the multitude of activities, day trips to small islands or to the coral reefs. Professional PADI diving schools offer a full range of scuba diving with professional equipment. Other water sports such as kiting, kayaking, catamaran sailing, wind surfing, deep sea fishing, water skiing, parasailing and jet skiing are also on offer. We take our ease and vittles at The Fumba Beach Lodge on a full board basis.

Breakfast at the hotel and relax once packed by the beach soaking up the sights and sounds of this fascinating and beautiful location. We will collect you in the afternoon, after lunch, for transfer to the airport for the flight to Dar es Salam where you will connect with your international flight to onward adventure in life!
