Embark on an unforgettable African safari adventure as you depart from Dar Es Salaam after breakfast, bound for the majestic Selous Game Reserve. Covering a staggering 55,000 sq km, Selous dwarfs even the renowned Serengeti to the north, occupying a remarkable 5% of Tanzania's landmass. Within this vast expanse lies an ecosystem of unparalleled beauty, spanning over 90,000 sq km of unspoiled wilderness, untouched by human influence. Delve into the heart of Selous aboard sturdy metal boats propelled by powerful outboard motors, guided by experienced boatmen intimately familiar with the river's every twist and turn. These seasoned guides navigate the waterways with ease, revealing hidden corners teeming with wildlife. As you glide along, marvel at the myriad water birds that call this place home, and observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat, whether submerged in the river or sunning themselves on the banks.

After a scenic journey through suburban landscapes, arrive at the camp for a delectable hot lunch before setting out for an afternoon game drive. Traverse the reserve, crisscrossed by the mighty Rufiji River, the lifeblood of this vast wilderness. Encounter a plethora of wildlife, from the majestic elephant to a myriad of other large animals, as Selous boasts over 1,000,000 of them, including more than half of Tanzania's elephant population. Return to camp as the sun sets, where a sumptuous dinner awaits, followed by a restful overnight stay, allowing you to recharge for another day of adventure in the heart of Selous.
